DUTCH OVEN CARE INSTRUCTIONS
BEFORE FIRST USE
Remove all labels, hand wash in hot soapy water, rinse and towel dry immediately.
Cast iron cookware provides unparalleled heat retention, which is crucial to maintaining a consistent oil temperature when deep-frying.

For best results, use medium-high heat.

If the cookware Is scratched and the pre-seasoned layer is removed, it must be seasoned again.
CLEANING

Hand Wash Safe Only.

To clean, wash with warm soapy water, rinse thoroughly and dry immediately.

Do not soak cast iron.

Do not allow to air dry. Towel dry immediately after each wash.

Using for an extended period of time without cleaning may result in accumulation of dust, forming grime that is hard to wipe off later.

To remove hard grime, rub with abrasive sponge/plastic scrubbing pad, then re-season (follow re-seasoning instruction detailed below).

To protect pre-seasoned coating, hand-wash only and dry immediately. Some soaps or detergents contain degreasing action which can remove the seasoning. If that is the case, please follow the re-seasoning procedures

Do not use bleach

Do not use oven cleaners.

If your cookware includes a lid, store separately to allow for air circulation
PRE-SEASONING INSTRUCTION

Thoroughly wash and dry the piece to be seasoned.

Coat the cookware including the cast iron lid (if applicable) with a thick layer of vegetable oil using a pastry brush or a cloth.

The entire cookware surface must be coated with oil. Place the cookware in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour. After one hour, turn off the oven and allow cookware to cool gradually.

Cast iron is not Microwave Safe.

Cast iron Is not Dishwasher Safe.

Do not allow to boll dry.

Always hand wash and dry completely before storing away.

When cooking on ceramic or halogen stovetop, always lift pan, do not slide or drag, as this will damage the cooking surface.

Always use potholders or oven mitts. Handles will get hot.

Before washing, always allow the pot/pan to cool to room temperature.
